Yes, you’re right. I guess compared to other color bulbs such as Hue bulbs, they still seem like a pretty good price.
it is, 1 bulb by itself is $40. By getting 2 you are saving ~$10 each bulb.
I have a few of these. They rank in the middle of my list. Seem very weak when compared to LIFX 800’s. They do have better colour reproduction than the Philips Hue.

LIFX 800’s & 1000’s A-19’s
Osram RGB A19’s
Philips Hue B30’s
I’ve ordered three over time. They always got here faster then they stated.
