+1 I’d really appreciate Sonos-like Echo integration as well.
AirScape Whole House Fan (WHF) controller. WHFs are being required in some areas in green-conscious building and renovations. AirScape already has a nice interface, with nifty palm-sized controllers. Not sure of the technology they use.
1 - Tagg pet tracker
2 - Samsung SmartCam HD pro
3 - Acurite weather stations
(As an example, I have fountains on the property and on very windy days, if the fountains are on, the wind blows all the cascading water out. Wouldn’t it be great to add an action that says “if wind > x mph, turn off outlets”)
Hi!
Do you have any plans to start support WebRTC?
I really likes this cameras http://www.amaryllo.eu and I want to see them in SmartThings, to control them via SmartThings.
I want to remotely control (on/off) my electric hot water heater.
Is the SmartThings Hub compatible with Leviton 73A00-3ZB Wireless Load Control Module, 30-Amp?
Here is a blog post discussing it using a Zigbee thermostat, which I don’t want to use…
Thanks.
The Flir FX is releasing on April 15th and seems to be the best of Dropcam, Smartcam HD Pro, GoPro and Arlos. I’m so getting this cam and the 1st automation company who supports it may get my purchase too! My hopes is that SmartThings will be SMART and get on this band wagon too!!!

FYI, Misfit just released the 2.0 version for their APP and guess it has, the ability to use your flash as a remote for various stuff. Right now it’s suggesting NEST, IFTT integration Misfit Blog Here
The have an API, and a SDK. Wondering if someone wants to attempt to get it integrated in Smartthings. I"m not talented enough but I’m sure someone here is. I’d be happy to find a Misfit Flash for someone.
I am struggliong with ST support to get the Leviton 73A00-3ZB to work with my new ST Hub. I note that the Leviton switch 73A00-3ZB, according to Leviton’s website:
"Utilizes ZigBee Pro Home Automation wireless profile"
How did you get the LCM (73A00-3ZB) to work with ST?
When you say you are struggling with ST Support, can you elaborate? Our support team (while amazing) isn’t able to help with new integration work. We do have some others that may be able to help, however.
I agree that your support team is great. Karl has been very helpful. However, I am really disappointed that, while I am somewhat tech savvy, I was taken completely by surprise when I learned that my purchase of the SmartThings Hub ($100)and the 73A00-3ZB ($225) Load Control Module, plus the installation of the LCM, ($325), was not supported with the Hub, yet? You have advertised that the hub supports ZigBee protocol. It was my error when I assumed that since the LCM is a ZigBee compatible product that, with a little effort, we could get it to work.
What makes this especially difficult is the LCM is a high voltage device and is not like a typical household ZigBee or other wireless gadget.
I had a perfectly good digital switch connected to my hot water heater, which I replaced with the LCM, so now I am manually turning the hot water heater on and off, to prevent the high cost of operating it 24/7.
I take full responsibility for not learning enough about your smart hub to know that some things are not (yet?) supported, and thus may not work, at all, but I do not recall anything written on your website, or in the forum, until now, which alerted me to the fact that I may be throwing money away until and unless this LCM is supported.
I am now left with the prospect of paying an electrician to re-install my digital switch and unplugging my hub and waiting until you can give me the high sign that it is ready to function.
Request support for an additional Honeywell thermostat:http://www.homedepot.com/p/Honeywell-Wi-Fi-Smart-Thermostat-RTH9580WF/203926327
I wanna also that Smart start support Wi-Fi cameras. For example, I like iSensor cam from Amaryllo, but SmartThings need to support WebRTC.
Yeah - this is a good list to check out prior to large purchases:
That said, since it is ZigBee (Pro HA Profile — not sure how different that is from the HA profile) there is a good chance support can make its way onto the platform either officially or from a community member. Not fun to have to wait for. I am waiting for Lutron support of some kind since I moved into a house full of that
Lutron requires a different antenna, so don’t hold your breath. ![]()
Zigbee pro, especially if you take advantage of the green power options, is awesome for power management. Really efficient stuff. Not everybody uses the green power features, though. But the main difference is that zigbee pro was intended for large networks that needed better security. But the controller has to be a pro controller, and I’m pretty sure smartthings hub is not.

However, that was now. (Engineering joke). The next zigbee standard, zigbee 3.0, is going to fold all the Zigbee standards into one. So sometime in the future, there will likely be a smartthings hub that is a zigbee 3.0 controller, and then it will be able to handle more zigbee devices. But my guess is that’s going to be a generation three feature for smartthings.

I was able to get the LCM (73A00-3ZB) switch working, with the help of FalcoGeorge here on the forums. I believe your tech support told me that the ST ZigBee HA profile includes some enhancements so that the ZigBee Pro HA profile is covered.
PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor.
The SKU numbers on these two pages don’t match. I think one is a new model or they have a sperate sku for Iris enabled version. I’m not sure if this has been suggested or not. I searched around and found two articles related to the product but not in the suggested devices.
I would like to be able to control when my dog can come and go outside while allowing her to decide how often she wants to go out with out having to mess with the door or settings everyday and so my house can be secure between individual uses of the door and over night.
Thanks
Having the Hunter Douglas Platinum gateway integration would be super. Its the missing piece for me to move to Smartthings full on!
Lutron Caseta Wireless dimmers and switches. They use Lutron’s Clear Connect Wireless technology, but they are accesable through TCP/IP if you have the Caseta Bridge.
I would like compatibility with TrendNet Smart Outlet and range extender THA-101.
The THA 101 is a Wi-Fi switch with allowable remote access. Consequently it should already be interoperable with smart things if trend net has an API that allows authorized third party access. This is a cloud to cloud interface, and is how many smartthings integrations work, including brands like Harmony and Philips.
So The first step is for you, as their customer, to get in touch with TrendNet tech-support and find out if they have an open API. If they do, I’m sure the community can help come up with a device handler to talk to it. If they don’t, they have to open it from their side before smartthings can access it.
Once you do get the API information, you can start a topic for that device in the connected devices category and I’m sure someone will help you with the next steps.
