Thanks @Johnnybegoode, that explains it. Hadn’t realised the different between the rules and routines, they look so similar! I’ll try and cobble something together myself and if (or more likely when) I’m still stuck will start a new thread.
API Browser+ Update Notice
As suggested by @h0ckeysk8er, I’ve included some additional info that can now be displayed for hub-type devices. This will be shown via the Locations->Hubs path or the Devices->Devices path whenever a hub-type device is selected and the Details button is pressed.
This additional detail includes the mac and IP address, hardware type and ID, as well as various zigbee and zwave-related items.
Refresh your browser to get the update (Version 230603).
In the Device/History table I can only see a very small portion of todays history.
It would be great to be able to page or scroll history back a few days at least.
Have you given the any further consideration, thanks?
This has been requested before and something I’ll work on improving.
Nice! Thanks Todd!
Todd,
When I select automations/routines it states 250, for a while I have been suspicious that it doesn’t show the correct value as it doesn’t change when I’ve removed some routines.
I did a little digging today and now know that I have at least 252.
Well you clearly have too many
I think I know what this may be, so I’ll investigate. Thanks for reporting.
@TAustin Looks like with the demise of the IDE, the only way to create/delete Locations is via the CLI or via the APIs. Could you add the ability to the API Browser+ as well?
Thanks!
It looks like you can add locations via manage locations in the mobile app. Click on house on favorites page, then manage locations.
Oh yeah, doh. I tend to forget that you can actually do some things in the app
How about adding location when you have 10 already?
API Browser+ Update Notice
If you refresh your browser, you will get the latest version of API Browser+ (Version 230612) with these new features:
- Device history now includes ability to page through all available records (Devices->Devices menu path, select a device, then tap the History button); use ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ buttons at bottom of table.
- Location activities now available under the Locations->Locations menu (select a location and tap the Activities button); includes ability to page through all available records
- Legacy Zigbee and Z-Wave routing info now available under Locations->Hubs menu; select a hub and then the Legacy Zigbee or Z-Wave Graph buttons. Note that this will only include legacy (DTH) devices. Equivalent data is not yet available through the API for Edge devices.
- Fix to Automations->Routines list when > 250 routines exist
Thanks again to @orangebucket for keeping me posted on new APIs!
A bug?
Selected Locations->Groups. I only have one group listed, the “Summary-lighting-group”. Select it, then click the Details button and I get:
Click OK and get this to the right of the group info
This happens in both locations that I have. One is a V2 hub, the other a V3 hub.
Allan
Do you see that group anywhere in the SmartThings app? It appears not to be associated with a room, which is causing the error in this case.
How was it created originally?
I have a similar group which doesn’t really exist at my 2nd location, but not my 1st location. It seems to list every light at that location. I did have a group with 3 lamps that I deleted weeks ago
No, I don’t see that group in the app (Android user). I’ve never created any groups. Could it be some default grouping created by Smartthings?
Interesting. I clicked on devices within the group. On my V2 hub it includes only outlets, 2 plug-in style and 1 Leviton wall outlet. On my V3 hub, it lists 1 plug-in outlet and 5 Leviton wall switches connected to lights, but not the 5 Leviton light switches that run bathroom fans. My V2 hub has 6 Leviton light switches connected to it, but they are NOT included in the device list. As far as I know, all the Leviton light switches are all the same Zwave switch, the DZ15S.
Maybe these are the mini tile groups with the recent app update.
That’s how the summary lighting tile on the Favo(u)rites page is implemented. In /devicegroups
there is an extra boolean property summaryGroup
that is true
for that group.
Thank you! It’s great!
Just found this, and its blowing my mind.
While looking i found the prefrences category, specifically for my motion sensors (smartthings/aeotec). It looks like default theyre set to 2 out of 3, is there a way to edit these value to increase sensitivity? The temperature offset shows in the mobile app, but not sensor sensitivity
