I have many Sinope thermostats in use, (15 - TH1500ZB and 6 - TH1400ZB) in two different homes in two different states in the Eastern Time Zone.
Since moving off of groovy to edge there have been many “regressions” in features (lack of support for weather info and time issues) but the most frustrating issue I’m still dealing with is the clock display of the current time on the thermostats.
During the summer (DST) the clock display gets updated and all the t-stats display the correct time. Once we fall back to SDT in November, the clocks no longer get time updates. if the device loses power it never reacquires the time on start up and the clock display is just blank. Once we get to spring and hit DST, the clocks acquire the time and display it on the devices.
Been researching this ever since edge came out to no avail. I’ve tried different drivers from “Edge Drivers Shared by M.Colmenarejo” and “jamer007 edge drivers” to rolling my own as well.
Found suggestions for other time issues to move geolocation of hub to new time zone and back, nothing.
Nothing seems to work.
Looking for some help/suggestions to pursue. Sinope has been unhelpful at best as they disavow supporting edge these days.
Thanks,
