Today we released a software update for Smart Remote featuring a new Webhooks integration along with some other minor improvements and bug fixes. Now using Webhooks, Smart Remote can control even more devices and services:
IFTTT Webhooks. Thanks to IFTTT Webhooks you can create buttons on your Smart Remote that can make a web request and control a lot of services available on IFTTT
- Turn on all your Smartthings devices
- Toggle your Wemo switch
- Turn on/off your D-Link Smart Plug
- Start and Pause cleaning with your iRobot
HTTP Requests. For advanced users, thanks to HTTP requests you can now add a button on Smart Remote for the following types of triggers
- HTTP GET
- HTTP POST
- HTTP PUT
- HTTP DELETE
You will be able to communicate with any services that support Webhooks, or your own server.
