Security Lights

I have some very nice (low cost) LED security lights outdoors on all four corners of my house. They are motion/heat triggered. While these work really nice I do not receive any alerts. Would like to see this functionality in a future security light system.

If they are not smart lights then how are they going to support them? You need z-wave, Zigbee HA or at least maybe wifi.

Just put a smart light sensor near the lights and have the sensor notify you when the luminance goes above a certain level at night. You’ll only need 1 sensor Per corner of the house, not one per Light. So you could have this now. :bulb::tada:

There are other ways to do it is well with devices that can tell when current is flowing through the lights, but to be honest, the light sensor method is easier and less expensive. :sunglasses:
