I agree it was an interesting article, but I like to see the breaks more clearly demonstrated, not in the sense of exposing the vulnerability but rather indicating something more than a brag. Even just an indication that the whitehat hacker had reported the exploit directly to the manufacturing company could be enough if the company comments on it, if only to say “We take security and privacy issues very seriously. We are reviewing the report and will take any necessary steps.” would be enough to validate that this isn’t just a marketing ploy on the part of the whitehat.
