Room Modes (Nested Modes)

I still definitely think room modes in addition to the overall mode would be a huge benefit, it’s not so obvious when it’s just you in a home and maybe you and your partner, but once you have multiple people, especially those on different schedules, room modes would be amazing.

… so I thought ARTIK went beyond the modules to actually provide high-level integration and services APIs with their cloud

There may indeed be enhanced services in the ARTIK cloud that I’m not familiar with that will be ported over; consolidation is always a messy adventure! My experience with the ARTIK cloud is minimal, but my impression was that it was not more functional that the SmartThings cloud … just different.

I would support anything that would reduce the Virtual Switch hacks that we have to use to get around platform limitations.
