OK I have got this working

Scenario - How to trigger the Siren of the Floodlight Cam when the Ring Alarm is triggered.

Solution

  1. Use Adam’s Code in this thread to connect SMT to the Ring Floodlight Siren and be able to trigger it
  2. Connect Simplecommands to both SMT and Ring so you can see all your devices from both systems in there (this also helps with the integration with Alexa - which is KEY)
  3. Create Routines in Alexa for the 3 states of the Ring Alarm to help control the alarm from Alexa - the most important one being - when you DISARM the alarm then switch the floodlight cam siren off
  4. Create Routine in Simplecommands (event trigger) that will initial the floodlight siren (ON) when the Ring Alarm is Triggered.

Best bit about this solution is that you can continue to use the Ring App to Control the Alarm system as normal - plus can also be voice activated if need be - (I prefer to use the voice element for Arming the alarm and NOT disarming it).
