I also got an email from Google that the OAuth out-of-band (OOB) flow will be deprecated on October 3, 2022.

So did I. Do we need to do anything for this? If so, what?

Regarding the email that’s for the Google Broadcast feature Tobias incorporated into the smart app. As all Groovy smart apps will cease at some point, I’m ignoring the email until someone incorporates the Broadcast/Groups functionality into a new smart app. What’s being worked on at the moment is getting some kind of basic Cast functionality for us by one of the big 3 Edge Saviours, which I’m looking forward to.

I’m looking forward as well.

Me too

Cast Web API still casting to my Google / Nest devices for now, and i would surely hate to lose this.

Still working for me too, and I am in the beta SmartThings firmware.

Is the original developer still engaged, or are we all just hoping that this will continue to operate?

All - I’m working on an Edge port of the existing SmartApp/DTH. Don’t know if it will have all the bells and whistles of your current setup, but hope to start off with at least a minimum set of control function.

Also don’t know if the audio announcements capability is working anymore, as I heard that Google shut down its interface. Does anyone know what’s going on with that?

the dth cast web api is still working for voice notifications

OK thanks for letting me know.

Could you do me a big favor and take some screen captures of where you set up your presets? Both in the SmartApp and on his Preset Generator web page.

Trying to understand this part of the code right now…

sure but I’ve never used the generator

i just use the notification bit in routines ie if the switch is pressed then notify someone play message on speaker

and it says the message on the google speaker .
i will have a look at the generator thing in the morning .
night night

Thanks! Maybe you don’t have configured presets? I guess that would only apply for speaker type devices where you are playing from various sources:

Hi @TAustin
I’m still using cast-web api with the ability to play streams from presets and some spoken response to automations with webcore automations through my chrome cast devices, but as it ends with that ability at the end of the this month it sounds great if you could get something working with an edge kind of thing driver.
Here is my edited 6 presets from the Preset Generator web page:
