Reading Outside Temperature

What’s the best way to access the value of current outdoor temperature (without a physical sensor)? I have an Ecobee 3 Lite thermostat that displays the current outdoor temperature (from the internet I presume), but I can’t figure out a way to access that value within a smartapp. The standard “thermostat” device doesn’t have outdoor temperature as one of its capabilities. Is there another way to access the outdoor temperature through SmartThings, by ZIP code or similar?

if you are in the US, the AccuWeather connect app will create a device with outside temperature.
found in marketplace -> smart apps -> climate control (in classic app)

Thanks, I installed the app and now I have the accuweather device in my list of devices. Is there any documentation that shows how to reference it in my code?
