Hi - I just wanted to compliment you on taking the initiative to do something here.
I’m not sure I have a whole lot of useful input. To-date, I’ve kept my use of github as more of a code storage repository and have always avoided getting into it much more than that. Even if you could get everyone to use it, don’t you still need someone to own the particular repository and handle all code change requests? Personally, that’s something I really do not want to get into.
Of course the big problem is that just because you have one version of code in github, doesn’t mean that that’s the version out on the SmartThings channel. So there would need to be some improved way to link those things.
SmartThings doesn’t want to give us developers any metrics or insights into community driver usage, so where is the incentive?
