I’m currently building a covered patio and trying to figure out best route to control two outdoor ceiling fans. I figure I might be able to control the lights through smartbulbs, but not sure if I will have a neutral wire to put in a smart switch. I am curious what others have done or would recommend?

Almost all of the solutions do require a neutral wire, although there are one or two that don’t. However, if this is new construction and you are in the US, the building code will probably require a neutral in any case.
