On / off control via IR of a split unit Air Conditioner

I had a similar experience.

Please back me up on the Harmony forums about IR devices as ā€œHome Controlā€ devices instead of ā€œEntertainmentā€ devices.

I can watch the louvers on the mini split go back and forth for hours! Joking aside I’ll take a look at the Harmony forums. I also find this very annoying.

Looked on the forums a few days ago and couldn’t find any topics specific to this (maybe not as familiar w/ searching there) - could you give me a link so I can join the chorus?

Well I am using Broadlink RM Pro. Its a fantastic device wich actually controll all your RF and IR devices. and there is a device handler available here https://github.com/beckyricha/Broadlink-RM-SmartThings-Alexa/blob/master/RM%20Bridge%20LAN%20Readme.md

I have the same fans and was looking for something like this.

I had a bad experience with using an IR remote control and air conditioners in my home.
After I put the automation system and control panel of my air conditioning is out of order. I didn’t know what the problem was, so I called my uncle, who works as a repair technician. He told me that because of the overvoltage in the house, my air conditioners burned the compressors and I need to replace them all, he told me what does air conditioner compressor do and shared an article with me about it.
After I did everything, I re-installed the IR remote controls and automation, but made it better and more reliable than it was.
