@Jim Could this be related to the change mentioned in ‘Developer Impact - Infrastructure Changes’ post? It’s been a little while since I have thought about the OAuth process, so I am a little rusty. In terms of an installation workflow, when does getApiServerUrl() first come into play? If I remember correctly, at the point where @joealanjones is, I haven’t received any data from the server yet. I’m very likely not correct there though

Developer Impact - Infrastructure Changes

As we prepare for increased SmartThings adoption across different geographies, we’re upgrading our infrastructure significantly. These changes will enable us to scale horizontally as new hubs and devices come online. We’ll have infrastructure located close (geographically) to new customers to reduce latency as much as possible. One result of this is that SmartApps or Device Types which provide the URL http://graph.api.smartthings.com to external services will need to be updated (this is most typical in Service Manager SmartApps that connect with a third party service). Instead of hard-coding the URL for the graph server, developers should utilize the getApiServerUrl() or apiServerUrl() methods (discussed below).
