@Paul_Oliver there is a SmartApp that should be with the DH at the same source. Install the SmartApp, then you have to create an instance of it in the ST app.
Go to SmartApps
Click +
Go to the bottom of the list as that is where custom handlers are listed.
Run the Virtual Thermostat Manager SmartApp for creating the thermostat and the manager. During setup you identify the sensors for controlling the “current” values.
Is there anyway to display the humidity along with the temperature when you open the virtual Thermostat?
I can see the humidity is available form the virtual Thermostat in 3rd party app like WebCore and Sharptools.
Am I being thick? I can’t seem to get this to work. I’ve looked through all the other replies and can’t see that anyone else is having issues.
I’ve created my fork of the code, and uploaded the app and device handler into the IDE.
When i try and run the device manager smartapp it says that it is unable to connect. but then creates a thermostat with the temperature at 23 degrees C, but i can’t do anything to edit it.
looks like its something to do with the temperature sensor I’m using (Shelly IOT HT sensor). I’ve changed it so that its using my hive thermostat instead and all loads ok
Hi Steffen,
is there any possibility to update the app to make it work in the new ST platform? Temp can be set by 1 degree only, and the interface is diferent.
I’m pretty sure it is dumb, but the developer has already made some changes to make it operate, as well. Take a look at the thread I linked above, and then search for thermostat.
