Non IFTT Tuya / Smart Life integration

Hi everyone I am after some help if possible please. I am new to the Smartthings platform and I am after some advice please regarding some smart plugs that use the Tuya or Smart Life app. Following a tutorial on here I have managed to integrate the plugs into Smartthings as virtual switches using IFTT but I am wondering if there is an alternative method as there is a 5-10 second lag using this method and I want to link them to a motion sensor so this lag wouldn’t really be effective. Any advice would be much appreciated

That switch uses the smartlife app. There are many other inexpensive Chinese Wi-Fi devices that also use the same app. In May2020, SmartLife dropped their IFTTT channel due to increasing costs. Paul Hibbard, a tech blogger, says you can try the “brilliant smart“ app from Australia instead, as it has its own Ifttt channel. That company told him they recently renewed with Ifttt, so he says it should be good for at least a year. However, it’s always possible that the company will shut this down for brands other than their own if it starts costing too much money. What device handler/smart app would work with this method? I tried [RELEASE] Sonoff, Sonoff TH, S20, Dual, 4CH, POW, & Touch Device Handler & SmartApp ($5 & $10 Smart Switches) but it doesn’t work.

TMR Life Plugs Because of security concerns with the Tuya App that normally runs these plugs, I wanted to flash them and see if I could get them to work directly in SmartThings without IFTTT integration. This is based off work from lots of others. First you need to reflash the device. I used this method. Presuming there are still no plans for smartThings to support smart life integration?.

There seems to be a large amount of products coming on the market that reside on the smart life framework, would be nice to see smartThings on board this.
