On the details page for the base station in the Alexa app, what device class is it assigned to?
Removing all the devices and recreating the rooms seems to be fixing quite a few of the bugs. Including my front door locks now working.
Just wish that “Lights on” and “Lights off” would work again.
I’m still using the classic smartthings skill in alexa. There are times she doesn’t listen & I have to repeat myself. My question is should i uninstall it & add the nee smartthings skill or wait???
Thanks
Dom
My “lights on” and “lights off” in each room weren’t working either when I first switched over. Then, all the sudden, they just started working. I changed nothing. I am learning that sometimes some things do work themselves out without my interference. This was one of those instances for me.
Knowing the antics of smartthings I suspect every thing will work perfect if you use a samsung phone
That is 100% not true.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Get ready to make the switch!
I recently purchased hubitat hub, switched all my smarthings motion and multi sensors over and disabled smarthings In Alexa. I did have to delete all the smarthings sensors manually from Alexa and re-link them once they were added to hubitat.
The only downside is it took me a few hours to re-link the sensors back to the Alexa routines I had made. Good luck to everyone still waiting for a fix. This appears to be my work around.
Just removed all the devices and will give it a shot. I am crossing my fingers that this resolves it!!! I don’t know why I didn’t think that these phantom devices would completely ruin my experience.
And important thing when removing devices, some devices are NOT shown in the Alexa mobile app, you have to go to alexa.amazon.com in a web browser to be 100% sure that you see all the devices. Safest way is to delete all devices on alexa.amazon.com and then doing a new “discover my devices”. This issue with “ghost” devices can wreck all kinds of havoc on name resolution.
Hi @Lars
Any progress with the routines issue?
Same issue with alexa / new smarthing after migration . Samsung Multiusage sensor is communicating in alexa ( status open/close )but somehow do not trigger push to alexa so the routine can activate .
Do not have the issue with anything else : all my 45 smart lights + camera + ring + doorbell can trigger routine but not door or windows sensor . Try relink account in alexa ( alexa.amazon.ca ) deleting device , rediscover them … renaming … rebooting ( alexa and stupidthing hub ) same issue . I cant get it to work. Sorry for my english , not my first language .

Alexa routines can only be triggered by sensors. Not lights of any kind. So something’s off.
Well , my routines is trigger correctly by my ring camera or by my switchs
( exp : camera detected mouvement outdoor , alexa will say ´´ mouvement on the house side ´´ )
This work . But not the sensor . If i go in my sensor status on either alexa or smartcrap app , it will display the status .
Like i said : it only stop working after the update .
Thank you for this… as I result I created the two scenes, Home and Away and the supporting automations… the only difference being that for the Away scene I also lock the door. HOWEVER, for some reason, if I am in Away mode, it won’t change the smart home monitoring system to armed (stay) mode… I think it NEEDS me to press that within the SHM app. any suggestions?
Scenes don’t import for me to Alexa and it discovers devices that I have deleted. What’s the deal?

Devices that have been deleted in the SmartThings app? Alexa app sometimes hangs on to devices for a while, one thing you could try is to log into alexa.amazon.com and remove all devices there and then make a new discovery.
Scenes will not be imported if they interact with “sensitive” devices like locks (Alexa requirement)
Interesting, didn’t know that about locks.
Entirely absurd that you can’t select what devices to import into Alexa. I won’t be touching this “new” skill with a 10-foot poll. The number of duplicate devices that directly integrate into both ST and Alexa would be absurd. Disabling a gizzilion devices is a non-solution to what should not even be a problem.
There are two very popular virtual devices used with Alexa, both created by @bjpierron . One is a combo switch/contact sensor. The other, called a button, is a combo switch/contact sensor/momentary button.
The dual device seems to work fine with the new V3 app.
However, the triple device, the one with momentary capability, does not work and the switch and the sensor get out of sync. Here you can see the switch is off but the contact sensor is open.
The dual device stays in synch.
.
The out of sync issue only happens in the new app, not classic.
It might help if those who are having problems triggering Alexa could specify which DTH their virtual device is using if they know.
The following author thread has the code for both of these devices:
Simulated Alexa switches (virtual device by bjpierron) have stopped working? Everything was working fine until last week. I have been using these virtual switches for months without any problem. These virtual switches are being used as triggers in Alexa routines. State changes fine in app, but routines do not trigger. However, I can trigger those routines manually from Alexa app. It’s just those switches are unable to trigger Alexa routines from smartthings app. I have unlinked and re-linked smartthings skill in Alexa app multiple times, but to no avail. Thanks in advance.
