I think that this may be new, and it isn’t bad for the price. Has anybody tried it yet?
In my experience the monoprice stuff is no so good on the quality 
This looks exactly the same as the one I have (Ecolink brand, I think… Amazon or eBay?) and it works great.
The silver cylinder is not a capacitor… It is a tube containing a ball bearing or something that moves with gravity away or towards electrical circuit closure contacts. Makes this a hackable device.
And I bent the tube to adjust the sensitivity of the tilt angle.
