I have two Meross Diffusers that integrate directly to Smartthings and Alexa using the Meross cloud connection option. While I can turn on/off my diffusers, control the mist density, turn on/off LEDs and change their colors from Alexa, unfortunately, the integration in Smarthings is only limited to turning the LEDs On or Off and changing their color. Only the LEDs. There is no option in Smartthings to turn the actual diffuser on or off or control the mist density. That defeats the entire purpose of purchasing a Smartthings capable smart diffuser. How can this be fixed?
Pictures below show the cloud interface from Smartthings vs Alexa:
That’s the current workaround I have in place, it’s annoying but it works, just posting this for visibility. For a diffuser that is advertised to “Work with Smartthings” I believe someone either at Smartthings or Meross dropped the ball when testing its interface within the app. One of them needs to go back there and fix the interface. I understand a lack of functionality for secondary features of a product, for example not being able to control the LED colors, etc., that is a secondary feature, but the product needs to at least include its main functionality from the Smartthings app if they’re going to sell it to the Smartthings community as a Smartthings capable product…
