You’ll be fine. Your a new homeowner so you’ve got to get your hands dirty now or take it up the tailpipe from contractors.

Would rather prefer the tailpiped up theirs and not mine.last week some stupid guy from a renowned jersey company came who was stone deaf at age 28, tried to listen to the noises, used my iPad to google a few things and said will get back. He disappeared after that… ANd I have a 99$ + taxes bills tucked up my butt! We middle class non handy people are literally hosed.
Sorry, I feel your pain and have trouble trusting any of those people. I try to do as much as I can myself because I will only be happy with my work and I work for free 
. I also have trouble paying someone to do something I am confident I can do.
Unfortunately a small percentage of bad contractors/repair people have ruined it for the actual hard honest workers.
YouTube is you friend. I always go there first to see if someone has a video one what I am trying to do. It is seems to difficult I look to see if I know someone who can do it.
