Zwave itself is not going away. But Samsung staff have said publicly that the SmartThings commitment going forward is to Zigbee and matter. Zwave Was not included in the most recent SmartThings hub, the station, nor in the most recent version of the dongle for Samsung televisions And appliances. Nor in any of the Samsung smart appliances and televisions with built-in hubs. Just Zigbee, WiFi, Matter over Thread, and Matter over WiFi.
So Z wave has a future, but probably not with SmartThings.
That doesn’t mean they’ll drop existing support, it just means don’t expect to see it in future SmartThings hubs.
