Linking smartthings with my insignia light switch? [Developer]

Can someone send me a link or write a guide on how to integrate my new insignia Wifi smart switch to smartthings? I’m under the understanding that as a developer, I can write a smart app that will allow me to sign in under my insignia cloud account, giving me full access to all of my smart devices linked to that account. Is this correct? If so, how could I go about this?

FAQ: WIFI Devices in ST? How can I integrate a WiFi or Bluetooth device that isn’t listed in the SmartThings app?

Is there any way to get WIFI devices, such as a plug, to list in ST? I currently have 3 WIFI plugs that are running off Alexa, but I would like to get them into ST somehow so I can include them in my automations, plus it would be nice to have everything in one place and feed to my ActionTiles. Thank you.
