Link Ecobee SmartSensor for doors and windows to SmartThings

I recently purchased an Ecobee SmartSensor for doors and windows. I feel the device itself is pretty useless in terms of smart actions. It is only useful for Ecobee’s security haven system.

Is there a way to connect the device Smartthings and begin utilizing the devices contact sensor as well as motion sensor to drive automations.

Not currently. It’s doesn’t seem to be exposed in Ecobee’s API.

But I’m not even sure if you’d want to use it as a sensor. E.g., it’s really slow to respond (7-15s for it to report “opened” or closed").
