Introduction to SmartThings for Iris Customers

I just posted a note of your other topic about the options you have for building a security setup. Depending on what route you take it will have different instructions.
If it’s ADT monitoring you can refer to the SmartThings FAQ page about ADT.
For other solutions, each has it’s own instructions on how to setup, but of them are fairly self explanatory and easy to setup as you open them up and start exploring/walking through them.
If you get stuck you can search the forum and you’ll likely find the answer or if you can’t you can always ask the community.

You have a couple of options for creating your security setup: ADT professional monitoring. Nothing can beat this, they have a special setup with ST, runs locally, no UPS required, a nice panel and so on and so forth. However it does not have separate actions for each mode. It has an added advantage that it can make calls to you and also send a SMS to single number, push notifications and I think it can also play messages over an audio player. You can SmartThings own SHM solution, it has a nice nice UI and can do most of what you need with the exception of entry, exit delays and you can cannot have separate actions or rules for different modes.
