I do not have a camera, so I can’t really comment on that. Can you watch the camera on the web app (not the phone)?

Creating the device is one thing (yeah, you have something in the live logging every time the homecloudhub server starts saying that the device type does not exist - it contains all the parameters that device exposes) - but making it actually work with video and all is a completely different story…
Understandable, I’ll do some digging. Is there a trick to changing servers? I initially set this up on my desktop, but am now trying to run it on my RPi3. It seems to be running on the Pi, but events don’t seem to change. I changed the server in the Smart App configuration, but it doesn’t seem to be registering event changes.
So it seems like I have to restart the homecloudhub service like every 2 days. I don;t see anything in /var/log/messages stating what the problem is. Any advice?

As you can see it Digital Life tried to recover it’s connection, but never finished. I had to restart the service to correct it.

Anything in the ST live logging? Also, if you could please start a screen session on your pi an run the app in it instead as service, logs only seem to show the main app logs (no module logs) when running as a service…
HCH should normally restart individual modules to optimize work load - that is, if digitallife stops working, only that modules gets reinitiated. In your case, it looks like myq is failing too. Does the pi have access to the internet? Is it set to a static IP or DHCP?

The problem is I don’t leave the IDE open all of the time to catch the logs. The IDE also ends up logging me out after so long without activity.

I am not even using myq. Is there a way to disable the module if it’s not in use?
It’s weird then, module should not even start if you hadn’t entered credentials in the SmartApp settings. Give me some time to figure it out with mine, I’ll disable myq to see what gives.
As for the digitallife, wait until it happens next and then check the logs. Also, if you go back in the pi logs, what’s the last event about digitallife?

Which line are you referring to. I haven’t touched the code in a while.
This is the last line before Digital life stops working. It never recovers.
I actually think it’s working now. For some reason it was just taking a really long time to start sending the events, but now they’re happening in real-time.
Also, FYI, when I start HCH, it actually does seem to register the cameras. I’m going to see if I can figure out how to get a stream out of them.
I am just curious. What does adding the cameras to SmartThings actually do for you? Do you log into the smartThings app often enough to look at live streams?
Okay, there was an issue with the code where automatic recovery would not happen because the module goes in failed mode. The doRecover procedure has a “if (failed) { return; }” command at the very beginning which was breaking the auto-recovery process. What happens here is, the hch relies on a reply from the SmartApp. The reply is async as the SmartApp will send a request to hch whenever it has an answer from AT&T. However, if the SmartApp fails (timeout on connecting to AT&T), it never sends that event back to hch, hence hch never moving forward - because the retry procedure is stopped by that “failed” check. I have just republished the hch source code, try and get the new one - also has an updated invokeRecover procedure to prevent multiple doRecover (that’s what the if failed then relax condition was doing).
Make sure you have the “invokeRecover” function in digitallife.js
I am using the smarttiles app and it’s nice to be able to see exactly what’s going on around my house in one place.
@ady624 I installed your code and have a Pi server up and running. I am attempting to run MyQ without AT&T digital life. Does it work this way? I can see the log on the Pi server where it logs in and detects my garage door openers after configuring it, but it never creates any devices in SmartThings. Is there something I need to do manually?
