I’ll give it a shot, but I have everything set to a static IP address, and the Hue bridge nor ST hub has changed IP’s since I’ve had them. Can I remove the Hue bridge and re-add it without having to reset up all my lighting automation?
Don’t read too much into the version numbers. The development team (of which I am a part) bumps the version for when we cut releases regardless of where they are heading (to testing, beta, production, …). The other versions between 3 and 8 in this case were for other features that are not included in this hotfix which were being released to testing/internal beta environments.
The changes here are important (thus the hotfix) but as limited as the notes make it sound. Please see my previous message for additional details on the change.
Maybe we’ll just switch to a sha1 hash to keep everyone guessing (not really).
I hub has been offline for two days. I’ve tried deleting and re-adding multiple times. Is this fix going to automatically make it online agai @slagle
Seems like my hub Zigbee channel is now 24 which overlaps with WiFi 11:

My Sonos is using Channel 11. I thought my hub was 15 (WiFi 6) before.
Is the ZigBee channel now dynamic?
I’m having the same issue and my network is set up so all of my hubs have specific IP addresses. They can not change.
You scared me! Mine didn’t change…
I’m sure its a coincidence but I just lost all my smarthings zigbee motion sensors, Multi’s as well with that and losing Hue i’m struggling to keep anything working. and the Hot fix hasn’t impacted on the Hue issues I’ve got yet.
I’ll see if the hub fairy visits overnight.
If you find a way, let me know. I can’t get Hue bulbs back into automations since support removed my hue connect last week. I had to leave Hue connect open overnight and sometime overnight ST finally found all my lights, but " sorry you are not authorized " to put them into automations . Added 4 new Hues today and ST was able to find them right away and replace old GE & Osram bulbs with the new Hues. I just can’t use any of the Hue bulbs that have been working all along.
This is the price I pay for complaining about ST not showing the right state of the bulbs and repeatedly sending off/on commands to the lights trying to figure out whether they are off or on. At this point I am looking forward to Hue PIR, so I can just take primary light automations off ST. That also give the added benefit of actual LOCAL CONTROL of the lights. No more walking into a dark house at 3am because of cloud or interwebs issues.
Yeah I’m actually looking forward to the Hue PIR as well, for the exact same reasons you said. I shot an email off to support to let them know about the Bridge being offline to smartthings and not being able to control any of my Hue lights, you might want to do the same, the more people that contact them, the more references they will have to be able to fix it. Upthread, slagle mentioned he thinks it might be caused by the IP address of the Hue bridge changing, but myself and fightingmajor both have them set to static so it’s not that and maybe something on SmartThings end.
Mine is static as well, But when I changed the IP on the Hue Bridge the bridge was “found” on the old IP. and if I try and delete connect or refresh it I get nowhere. So I think I have an orphan connect app. But I can’t tell from the IDE
Support suggested i wait until after the update. But I think I just kicked the can down the road.
No Thank you. That was how I got into this mess of 20+ devices not working. I complained about 2 lights not reporting proper state in ST app, so I had to use Alexa or Hue app to control them. Support " misunderstood" what I meant and just deleted Hue connect completely from my account .
That sounds like a nightmare. If you get a fix let me know as I have the feeling I’m on the same road as you.
The surgery was a total success. We removed your right leg. But doctor, the left leg had the problem!
More like I had a toothache ,so they cut off my head
Looks like my intermittent loss of control of hue via smartthings is not fixed by this hotfix. Just had half of my lights refuse to obey commands with 'turning off" and “turning on” states. Rebooted everything with no improvement.
It didn’t fix the " you are not authorized to perform this " when trying to put hues back into ( not so ) SmartLighting automations either.

Just had half of my lights refuse to obey
Are those non Hue bulbs by any chance? Check to see the Hue app if they are showing as ‘unresponsive’.

my Hues
It is the same ( or close to the same) issue ST " fixed" with the patch a few weeks ago with ST not getting updated states from Hue
Sorry, I misunderstood…
I don’t know it for a fact, but my system seems very fast tonight! Maybe just needed a good reboot or maybe the update did it. But is moving faster.
