How do I go about replacing old double/triple switches with new z-waves?

Regarding the GE 45631, see this post:

It can be used, but only as a secondary controller and only to control other zwave devices. The lights in my living room use GE zwave outlets and I use the GE 45631 mounted by the door to turn them off when leaving the house. There is a message in another thread by me showing how I added the remote to smarthings. You do need some other GE remote to transfer the settings to the 45631. I used a GE 45600.

As far as having multiple switches next to each other, I haven’t tried it yet. They can be pretty bulky and a tight fit in the junction boxes. Just be sure you have a neutral (usually white) wire before ordering the GE switches.
