Heating thermostats and use of temp sensors in existing devices

Ok… heres one that I am hoping somebody as already solved.

I have a ST system in place with a number of sensors that also monitor temp. I also have a separate Heatmiser wireless heating thermostat.

I want to integrate my heating control into ST, so I was looking for and cannot find anywhere a thermostat that does this.

Now I think its possibly a SmartApp opportunity…but my questions are

Are ST planning such a device ?

If not why not …it would make sense

As as anyone already cracked this

doubtful, it’s not using a standard wireless protocol that I can see.
