Something still is not right. That’s the wrong DTH. Mine has been rock sold with no needs to tweak anything.
Are you using the newest dth from the thread above?
It should look like this in your IDE:
Here’s the github link:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jsconstantelos/SmartThings/master/devicetypes/jsconstantelos/my-fortrezz-water-meter.src/my-fortrezz-water-meter.groovy
and make sure to update the device in the IDE to use the DTH:
ok, yep, your right… I have something wrong, as your mentioning IDE… I not that familiar with the “IDE”, or it’s significance, and haven’t made any changes to that… I beleive… … Although I know I’ve seen it…
going back in now to look at the “IDE” and also to confirm the DTH

You would have at least done it once, at least for this device because it’s not natively supported by ST. At some point in time the original FortrezZ dth was added to the IDE. You can refer to their install documentation, or the many resources in the community.
ok. i just confirmed I do have the correct DTH in place…
I’m suspect I need to be sure the “device in the IDE to use the DTH”
Is the “IDE” on the ST web site, or on my phone ST app ?
If i go into my ST website, and goto smart app’s, I do see a reference to an IDE, button… but nothing like your screen shots…
So with this… I know my “IDE” is a current problem…
Try ide.smartthings.com and use your credentials that you use for the phone app. I’m mobile now so I can’t easily find you community discussions on the IDE, but there are tons.

I’m digging, but here’s where I see only “IDE” reference…
They don’t even make it easy to drop an image in this response… Where is the attach or paper clip?
oh… I see… It’s bee redfined as “upload”… geez…
First thing in kindergarten they teach is consitency… Nothing like reshuffling the symantecs…
going over to this link now… Thanks John for hanging in there with me…
looks like this redirects right back to ST site…
https://graph.api.smartthings.com/
Can you do a Team Viewer ? I’ll give you full control to navigate…
I see now … that even tho looks same… it is different… it has the old DTH… updating that.
This IDE site has no HUB listed in there and tells me to goto my ST App to claim my hub… ??
That’s right because you’re redirected to the site appropriate for your account. Now just make sure the dth is right and your device’s type is correct. Again, I’m mobile and have limited access to help.
When you click on My Hubs, nothing shows up? Do you have multiple SmartThings accounts? Did you log on using the same account as you use with the mobile app? You can also try https://account.smartthings.com/ to make sure it directs you to the right IDE site.
Yep, just discovered and now all shows accurate using the link you just provided…
https://account.smartthings.com/
Just to confirm tho… The IDE website is actually different than the ST Website, although they both look similiar… so it’s hard to discern which site your on … ? Yes?
I’m hacking away over here…LOL… Thanks Much John…
From my current check… it looks like:
https://account.smartthings.com = IDE Website = Smart Things Login Website <<< ALL IS SAME PLACE
ok… I know the DTH is correct…
Where is the “devce type” listed?
ok… progress… I removed the Device from my smart apps… did the network inclusion stuff. and succesfully removed… and now have readded…
So good news is now “My Fortrezz Water Meter” now shows as yours does, in Gallons, with all the categories, flow rate, Gallons used, etc… just no data yet…
I did go and set the values and turned on debugging…
Hoping some time might help it start reporting…
Find it in My Devices, then click on the edit button, then you’ll see Type. It’s a drop down list where you can select the dth. Reference the other discussion on troubleshooting tips with the mobile app.
Ok that’s good. Running water now should start reporting numbers right away as long as you are not running on just batteries.
thanks!
I just confirmed from “My Devices” and see “TYPE” is pointing to the DTH “My FortrezZ Water Meter”
No data yet, despite water running… checking thread as directed! Thanks
Is it safe for me to assume that since I don’t see anything reporting in the live logging in reference to water flowing , then of course I won’t see it on my phone in ST APP?
I’m thinking I need to go back and make sure my DTH is correct?
I was seeing earlier in my live logs, water flow reporting… so at some point I had it good… i believe…
Correct. I would like you to start Live Logging and then start running water. You should see the device show up at the top. Also, press press and hold the water flow rate tile and pull down until you see the Refresh icon pop up. When you do, you’ll see refresh messages like this:
Also, go into the device’s settings vis the mobile app and change something, like high flow rate threshold. You should see see these events in live logging:
If you do not see anything in live logging for that device, it may not have joined properly.
ok… kool… we’re gonna get this…!!
I just ran the water and see no logging happening… I did see one error that might be tight to the device, as I see the word “Groovey” in there? attaching screen shot…
Good news, adjusting the settings does reflect in live logging… attching screen shot…
Do you think I need to rejoin my Fortrezz ?
Edit: reattaching screen shots…
