FLS-PP lp - Direct Pairing with SmartThings - Please Help!

I have spent a few hours now trying to get this damn thing to work.

Based on what I understand, it is possible to directly pair the FLS-PP lp module with the SmartThings hub. In fact I have been able to do that. The device shows up as “UNKNOWN” in the SmartThings App on iOS.

Then I went to the SmartThings online configuration and changed the device type to ZigBee RGBW Bulb. I have mine connected to an RGBW LED strip. I am able to set colors but there are two problems:

The colors are all wrong! And none of the white LEDs on the strip ever come on.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a different device type I should be using? Any help would be appreciated.

Most people connect it to a hue bridge and then connect it to the SmartThings hub that way.

To Connect it directly you would have to use a device type handler for a hue bulb connected directly.

Are you:

  1. Absolutely sure you’ve got the strip wired to the controller correctly.

  2. Absolutely sure the strip is labelled correctly.

Some of the cheapo ones aren’t actually labelled correctly. i had to swap my red and green wires or something to get the correct LEDs to light up.
