1x FGFS-101 (no rev number inside on circuit board) works well UNTIL it randomly goes offline and sets off alarms at 3am. Tested in various locations around house (not far from samsung ST hub) and no change.
2x FGFS-101 (no rev number inside on circuit board) work perfectly. No issues for months
1x FGFS-101 ZW5 (appears to be rev 5, now has zwave plus logo and mentions NICE-Polska (not Fibar Group) shows offline in leak monitoring but NOT offline in main ST app. In the ST app, it shows that it has many sensors and things which it does not have.
Using ST drivers (the same drivers for all devices)
Does anyone else have these problems with specifically Fibaro leak sensors?
I have several of these Fibaro sensors. However, I don’t think I’ve experienced what you’re talking about–what do you mean alarming in the middle of the night? It shouldn’t cause an alarm if it goes offline?
Using the home monitor, when smoke or leak sensors go offline, they will trigger an alarm. I cannot believe I have the three of the same brand and model sensors and they all act differently.
The rev 5 sensor shows being offline, so in addition to it showing properties that it doesnt have (smoke sensor on a water sensor) it shows offline all the time, but if i bump it, it comes back online. LE SIGH.
EDIT: At this point, do you recommend another brand of sensor? The eventual plan is to use a ST hub and leak and fire sensors at multiple properties for monitoring. I don’t want to deal with having to drive to different locations to problem solve why sensors keep showing as “offline”
ST will only “notify” me on my phone when a sensor has been offline for a time (you can turn those off, if you want)–is that what you mean with alarm?
I have the Fibaro ones and the SmartThings branded ones (they are Zigbee). I am wondering if your Z-Wave network is weak where you have your Fibaro ones? Where is the closet Z-Wave “repeater” device (essentially any Z-Wave device that is not battery powered, but powered by AC) to your leak detectors? The same thing would apply if you added a Zigbee battery powered device.
