Fibaro fgr-223 DH needed!

Ok , I add the DH to the ST IDE , I can see it on App, but how it knows witch fibaro is it?
My Fibaros have a QR code and number.
It was not asking me to input anything when I add a device.
Please help.

Paste the code into a new Device Handler in the IDE (account.smartthings.com), save and publish.

Include the device using the ST app (adding it from the add device option in the IDE won’t work).

The app may choose this DH based on the fingerprint. If not, go back to the IDE, to the Devices tab, and choose to edit the device you added. In the Type field, choose this DH from the drop-down. It’ll be all the way at the bottom.

The contact sensor and switch capabilities I mentioned a few posts back are now working and have been merged into the device handler. Let me know if anyone has trouble with the changes!

Thank you, I add it and I get error message of "not all the options are available ".
It works only with one switch, if you press it is going (lets say up) and if i press again is going down.
I went manually all the way up and down.
Then it went down from the app, but is not going up.
Ha, i managed to get it up using the dimmer option.
This is the errors i got .

I got the same behaviour of the Fibaro like zvika77 on page 6.

I can close from the (Window shade) button, but not to open.
I can open from the (Dimmer) button.

When posting logs, please put them in a code block by typing ``` on a separate line above and below the entire section of logs. It makes them a lot easier to read.

The shade is reporting a position of 254%, which means it needs to be calibrated. If you’re using the old app, press the “calibrate” button and let the shutter run through the calibration sequence. If you’re using the new app, the easiest thing will be to download the old app.

I use the new app, i will download the old app and try.
Thank you for your fast response .

You’ll probably be fine using the new app once it’s working in the old one, but right now the new app doesn’t work with any functionality that’s out of the norm. The calibrate button is one thing. I also really haven’t looked at this device in the new app, so I’m not sure how it looks/functions (and I don’t have a Fibaro shutter anyways). Feel free to test!

For the wall switches to work right, you’ll need to change parameter 20. In the old app, go to the device, hit the gear icon, then look for parameter 20 and change it to either 0 or 1 depending on whether you have momentary or toggle switches. Then hit save. I think in the current version you’ll then have to hit the “Sync” button (I’m changing code right now so it happens automatically after hitting save in the settings).

Thank you philh30,
in the old app is working well. All is good. Yes after calibration.
Thank you again. Tomorrow I have to add 4 more of this.
:grinning::relieved:

I just realized I had the same problem like zvika77 on page 6.

Just saw it.
This is great dh!

My conclusion using ST and fgr223 :
The DH is good but is only for ST Clasic App.
Do not try with new app ,you will have a big headache .
Maybe in the future someone will do a DH for the new app.
Thank you to all.

Unfortunately, the new app is not a great environment for custom code at the moment. Samsung is still developing the new app, so hopefully it will improve in the future.

That said, I made a few changes this morning that should allow the device to be installed completely from the new app (you would need to copy the revised code into your device handler for it to apply). I’ve documented instructions in the second post of this thread. I’d still recommend using the old app, as it’s an easier process.

Thank you for DH, I add it but my physical buttons now works this way: up button do nothing(I want the up option back). down button 1st press shutter goes up, 2nd press shutter goes down 3rd shutter goes up and it keeps this way as you keep pressing it instead of just shutter down.
Any help? thanks
I will post logs if need.

It seems like the 0 you put in for parameter 20 hasn’t been received by the Fibaro yet. Try pressing Sync in the app to transmit all of the parameters to the Fibaro.

Thank you it works.
How did you know the 0 I put in the parameter hasn’t received yet? after sync this screen still look the same. is there a way to know about unsynced parameters?

I didn’t know - but that was the simplest thing to try. The switches were acting like they were still set as the default (2). The way to confirm would be to watch live logging when hitting Sync. You’d see ST transmit the parameters, and then the device would respond with how those parameters were set. That would’ve been the next step.

How do I change the buttons from simple movement up down to entirely close and open each click

Have you set any parameters besides #20?

No, only #20

From the manual, it looks like default operation should be that one push makes it open/close, and pushing again makes it stop. Have you run calibration? My only thought is that the Fibaro should automatically set parameters 156 and 157 to the amount of time required to raise/lower as part of calibration, which might play a role in how long the motor runs when the button is pressed. Even if you’ve already done it, try running calibration again.

I was able to add a total of 6 Fibaro Roller Shutters 3 (FGR-223) earlier this month using the info on this page. Today, I wanted to add 3 more with no success, they simply would not be discovered by the hub no matter how close I put them while pairing. All the 6 already paired still work without an issue. I am hesitant to remove any of them and try to pair them again as they work just fine. I removed one Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 as I wanted to replace it with a model 3, and I was able to pair it again with its own handler.
I tried pretty much everything I could think of (restoring the roller shutters, etc.).
I suspect it might have something to do with a recent smartthings update, I got an e-mail on 26 March 2019 (European time) about it (version 25).
Please advise.
