This appears to be a part of a large update to the Rules API to add a remains condition. I haven’t tested it yet, but it may also solve this discrepancy

I see in my devices, that how much time activated or deactivated also added for automations with switch devices, plugs, bulbs, smoke detectors and water valves
That’s awesome… probably a whole development team spent weeks on that going from meeting to meeting to make a “final” decision that it should be dots and not diamonds or squares and solid line instead of dashed one.
(Maybe someone in top management should have a tap on the shoulder for this achievement and the good job done. Or maybe a promotion with pay rise.)

Not so fast. Still an issue until the iOS app catches up.
I still don’t see any “in use by” list for my placeholder devices. It’s just blank. What have you seen change?
Andreas is referring to a change in the Android app update today. As iOS has not updated yet his suggestion to remove #26 is premature.
It needs to be able to handle.more than just Automations too. It has to be everything that uses the device.
Right, I think it’s clear that one of the primary use cases is
“my hall light is turning on at two in the morning every night, what’s causing that?“
Or something similar. Because right now there isn’t even a place to start to begin tracking that down.
With groovy set to be sunset in several months and smart lighting as well… what else is there to display in the list? Scenes?
Scenes, if they aren’t already included.
Then a list of every single Rule that references the device in any way.
Then a list of every single other application that has explicitly been given access to the device in any way.
The idea is to know where the device is being used.
