Are these units any good? They’re cheap but apparently unreliable.
Lots of false alerts, long cool down, and they disconnect a lot and you have to re-pair to get it going.
Just want to be certain that its not user or ID 10 T error.
I was going to grab the door/window contact sensors too but apparently battery life and reliability is an issue too. Any good SONOFF Zigbee products? Perhaps their smart outlets?
SNZB-04 ZigBee Wireless Door and Window Sensor - would go off line periodically and need to be repaired. And it was located close to my hub. Currently not being used for that reason.
SONOFF ZBMINI ZigBee Mini Smart Light Switch - works good with the “Zigbee Switch Mc” edge driver.
SONOFF SNZB-01 Zigbee Button Switch - works good with the stock “Zigbee Button” edge driver
SONOFF SNZB-03 ZigBee Motion Sensor - too many false motion alarms. Currently not being used for that reason.
I have had better luck with the cheap Tuya Zigbee: motion sensors, contact sensors, water sensors, and mini smart switch modules. I prefer the ones that use 2 - AAA batteries over those that use coin batteries due to increased battery life.
I have some Sonoff devices at home:
Zb mini: good and reliable using stock ZigBee switch driver or Mariano’s one.
S40 Lite: good and reliable using stock ZigBee switch driver or Mariano’s one.
SN-ZB03: good and reliable using Mariano’s ZigBee Motion driver. I have 4 of them and I don’t see the false positives that people is saying, cooling down is 60s, enough for my purposes.
SN-ZB04: this one is bad, doesn’t read battery level, and periodically goes offline.
