[EDGE] Official Zooz Edge Drivers Channel

The profile should have a -4 at the end for that firmware. It could be stuck in some sort of loop trying to switch the profile.

If you are familiar with the CLI tool, the “logcat” logs might show what’s going on. I will keep thinking about it.

I am no longer able to reset the energy meter on my zen15 and zen04 plugs. The option is there in a routine, but it doesn’t reset the energy meter. Using the old driver and the new plugs driver don’t allow it. It worked a month ago.

Is this a driver issue?

logcat shows nothing under the zooz switch driver and the generic driver shows normal expected entries corresponding with commands. I also removed one of the switches from the hub and readded it with no change in behavior.

My Zooz dimmer switch stopped working today. It looks like the driver was updated today. I tried to reboot the hub but still not working.

I am not having any issues with my test devices but I don’t have a ZEN74 or 77 to test with

If you keep the logging open on the Zooz driver, and then switch back to it, you should definitely get something. It should at least set the button supported values and I think do a version check.

@jmcd37, @RandomName are you having issues with routines, or just controlling manually from the app?

I just paired up a ZEN05 and tried to reset it while watching the logs, I can see the RESET being sent to the device and then it reports back the energy at 0 (however it was already 0). I will need to plug something in to draw some power and test it again.

UPDATE: Just tested it again with an energy value beforehand and it reset it just fine. Tested on new plugs driver but the code should be the same. In fact the resetting is done by built in ST zwave code, I don’t have anything custom in the driver for it, just the energyMeter capability in the profile.

Nothing shows in logcat for the zooz driver when I switch drivers back and forth. I tested with multiple open terminals so I could watch the generic driver and I see the add or remove on the generic switch drivers.

Routines are also not running that include the switch.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver from the edge channel and now I am at least seeing errors in logcat. Error follows

2026-04-15T01:13:12.898357083Z WARN Zooz Switch Unexpected filesystem lookup for capability platemusic11009.associationGroupFour

Just trying to turn off or on from the app. The power button just kind of spins and does nothing.

@jmcd37 Ok that I can work with, let me see if I can figure this out.

@jmcd37 I found a possible fix searching around. I sent you a PM with a link to my Dev driver to test out. The issue is that capability is not in any of the profiles and your hub had never downloaded it. Its apparently a bug in the ST hub firmware, it will only download it if its defined in a profile. Possible solution is I added a fake profile with all the capabilities to force the hub to download them.

I guess the old code never tried to access that capability unless the device supported a group4 which is not very many of them. The way I redid the code to be more dynamic for different profiles it is loading stuff into a variable right away which is where your crash happened.

Hello- I’m having the same issue. When I revert to standard ST drivers, the switches work. But with the custom Edge drivers the just spin and timeout.

None of my ZEN26 and ZEN27 devices were responding to commands from the app/hub after the driver updated to version 2026-04-14t11:03:07.2130459

I changed all devices to the stock Z-wave Switch driver and they work normally. No rebooting or resetting, just the driver change.

Tried changing one device back to the updated Zooz driver and it again failed to respond.

Devices are connected to a V2/2015 hub.

I had @jmcd37 test out a fix and they confirmed it worked. I just pushed the update out to the main channel. I updated the version code in my post up above. You can either wait for your hub to update or delete the driver and reinstall it (which requires no devices are using it unfortunately).

Ultimately this is a bug in the ST platform but I found a workaround.

Sorry about the issue everyone! Thanks goes out to @jmcd37 for getting the logs which were critical in tracking this down, so I didn’t have to just roll a bunch of stuff back.

@jtp10181 Thanks for the quick fix

Confirming, I also had five zen77s stop responding yesterday. The driver fix from last night appears to have resolved it.

Looks like the driver update from last night worked.

Was just sitting down to check the driver when both of my hubs dropped offline. Solid blue lights on both.

It look my driver is updated to 4/15, but I’m still experiencing the same issues. Anyone else?

Try rebooting the hub. That might get it to download the capabilities according to my searching around last night.

Seems to be good now! Very much appreciate the quick responses and resolution.

I seem to be having some inconsistent performance from my zen14 dual outdoor smart plug. Zw97 is what shows on the back. I seem to have issues with this working correctly. More then half the time, it doesnt respond to commands to turn on or off. It never seems to show as offline, but its unresponsive most of the times. Its on firmware 1.20.
