Try tp use @w35l3y Default Clusters driver from here:
Thanks @Paul_Oliver , Iād missed those last few posts!
Thanks @dotan_shai Iāll give that a go.
Hmmmā¦it seems to have recognised it as a temperature sensor rather than a contact sensorā¦is it possible to modify this?
Unlikely to be updated, at least in the near term. As Paul and others have mentioned previously these drivers are no longer being developed.
Try going into settings (3 dots in upper right) and change the profile from normal to generic, exit device, reopen device, go back to settings and you should have some choices you can try.
Hi,
I have a door/window sensor, Sonoff SNZB-04P, which is paired with my hub using the Edge driver Zigbee Contact MC, but it is behaving a bit strangely. When there hasnāt been any activity (opening/closing) for a while, it seems to stop reporting open/close events to SmartThings.
The sensor does not appear as offline in SmartThings, and the indicator light blinks when opening/closing, but no changes are reflected in SmartThings. However, if I press the button on top of the sensor once, it starts reporting open/close events to SmartThings again. This only works for a while, and if there is no activity for some time, the sensor ends up in the same state where no changes are reported in SmartThings.
Has anyone experienced the same issue with this sensor or knows what might be wrong? I have several Sonoff SNZB-04 sensors in the same area that are working as they should.
@Mariano_Colmenarejo I know you made some adjustments to the Edge driver for the SNZB-04 sensor a while ago, and these have been working flawlessly since then. Do you know if any adjustments might be needed here as well? Or do you have any idea what could be causing this issue?
Thanks
Daniel
@Dsam, try to pair the device again with smartthings, without removing/deleting the device.
Just put the device in pairing mode again and do the āadd new device/search nearbyā process in the app. The device will be re-paired with the same name, configs, and automations.
This usually works for me when a device gets rogue for some unexplained reason.
Thanks for the input, I will try to see if this helps.
Interesting, because I was about to post a question regarding the display of my contact sensor, and I went to check which driver it uses. It is using the Zigbee Contact Mc driver, and I see that the version date is 2025-02-25T10:48:08.951129872. So how can that be if Mariano is not updating stuff?
As for the question, I could swear that the contact sensor tile just used to show Open or Closed in the bottom left. Today I just noticed that is now says Status|Temp|Battery %. Has something changed recently? Is this a result of this change I found to the driver?
Thanks
He has been updating his drivers but is no longer taking requests. He has made changes to his drivers so there is less of a need to add Tuya device fingerprints. See the following post he made:
Yes I noticed this as well.
so sorry for the total newbie fail here but⦠how do I add these drivers in my smarthings? I have some old Visonic mct-370 and would up here when looking for compatibility
Thanks so much!
Should work with @Mariano_Colmenarejo Zigbee Contact Mc driver.
awesome! how do I get this driver into/onto my hub/account from here?
Thanks!!
The first post in this topic has a link to the channel subscription. Subscribe and install the appropriate driver to your hub.
thank you!!! i clicked on the first few links but missed the subscribe one
Iām trying to add the TZE284_nlrfgpny siren, but itās not working. Iāve checked your driver repository, but I see itās not included. I donāt know if you can help. When I try to configure the driver, I see the following information. I installed the ādevice config mcā driver, but I donāt know what information to save.
About the product, thereās a bit of information for MQTT here. [New device support]: Tuya outdoor Siren Alarm with Solar (_TZE284_nlrfgpny) Ā· Issue #24405 Ā· Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt Ā· GitHub
I honestly understood that your drivers included Tuya Siren and I got excited⦠I really appreciate your dedication and help.
Unfortunately Mariano is no longer actively developing and updating drivers or participating in this forum.
So very unlikely to be updated, at least in the near term. As others have mentioned previously in this thread these drivers are no longer being actively developed.
Thanks for your answer @TheHundredthIdiot, any idea or guide to be followed?
