(EDGE Driver-Mc): Zigbee Drivers for Motion, Open/Close, Moisture, Smoke-Co Sensors and others Devices

Hi @Mariano_Colmenarejo

Ive tested the updated driver and it works great! Thank you very much for your help

This contact sensor also has an β€˜Anti-Tamper’ functionality. Is it possible to add that functionality too?

Hi @Jonathan_Moradi

I’m glad it works well

Tamper alert information is sent with the same cluster number and attribute as the open/close information.

smartthings has not default tamper function in the zigbee hub libraries.
This means that I have to write that code in the driver itself and since the functions to handle open/close are in the hub libraries then I would also have to rewrite this code in the driver, which now runs on the hub, and change the entire structure of the current driver.

When smartthings adds tamper to the zigbee defaults like it has done for zwave, then it will be very easy to add it to the driver.

Its a shame they hadn’t done that already… hopefully it’ll be added sometime soon.

Anyways, thanks again for your help

Hi @Mariano_Colmenarejo ,
Thank you for your driver. I have used your Zigbee Motion Sensor Mc to run the Bosch ISW-ZPR1-WP13. I realized there was no history of the motion and only had the temperature. I removed the device and tried to repair again. No matter what I’ve tried, it can’t be seen from the paring. I have reset the device multiple times and have rebooted my v2 hub and changed the zigbee channel to 11. None of the tricks work for me. Do you have any suggestion? Please let me know what extra information I need to provide. Thank you again

Hi @msazone

Sorry, I don’t use that device and I don’t know how to pair it.

According to the comments of several users, it is always quite problematic to put it in pairing mode and to pair.

On the other hand, I have read today’s post from some users who also have problems pairing devices to the hub, I don’t know if it has any relation.

Thank you so much taking time to reply.

It’s suddenly working again just FYI.

Could it have something to do with this?

I am not sure when did the firmware get updated on my hub. I couldn’t find a history log feature to track it. The current firmware is 000.054.00013 which should be 0.54.13. According to my email, this firmware was scheduled to process on Sep 24, 2024 - 14:00 UTC.

Thank you for this one as well. I’ve actually been using their own driver for a week before asking but it had some problems on reporting battery status (tried it on 2 sensors and got the same result) even after resetting and reconnecting multiple times. All that plus I really need signal metrics too.
Haven’t thought about sending some feedback to them but might do that as well.

What problems?

It wasn’t showing any battery info and it said something like β€œupdating” (I can’t really remember what it said and unfortunately I didn’t take any screenshots of it). Tried pairing it multiple times close to the hub as well as in the final position but it was the same.
Also wanted to test it again today with the official Sonoff driver to see if anything changed after I’ve used it with yours and had no problems with it, it’s flawless, and to my surprise the Sonoff driver now works as well, it shows the battery at 100% so I have no idea why it didn’t from the start. But I’ll continue to use your version going further. If I’ll encounter any problems with it I’ll let you know

Hi, Mariano.
Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately it’s still not working. Should I wait some time?

Hello all,
I really need some clarifications:
1- from where i can install an edge driver for my Aqara temp & humidity sensor? It is not T1 model, it is WSDCGQ11LM model.
2- what are the differences for edge drivers, between Child Thermostat Mc and Thermostat Mc? Basically, what is that Child in the name of edge driver?

Thank you guys in advance!
