(EDGE Driver-Mc): Zigbee Drivers for Motion, Open/Close, Moisture, Smoke-Co Sensors and others Devices

I think flow rate would be useful to calculate the water usage in the garden, I can claim back the sewage charges for the volume of water used in the garden .

As a reference for your use it may be valid, but to claim on an invoice you would need an official calibration certificate of the flow meter.

Regarding integrating the flow meter into smartthings, I can’t see it right now, but I think there is no code in the firmware libraries to handle cluster 0404.
Which means that need to write all the code in the driver and without having a device to debug it it is not easy.

Thanks for explaining and a very valid point about calibration certification.

I have 5 Open/Close Sensors Manufacture Code:Visonic Model:MCT-350 SMA that currently use
Zigbee Thing Driver. The forums say to use the Zigbee Contact Mc driver which are loaded on my Aeotec Smart Hub. But I am unable to change to that driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Please send the complete details of what you in Zigbee Thing Mc driver. If it looks like HTML formated text, just copy and paste here.

- id: "Visonic/MCT-350 SMA"
    deviceLabel: Tyco Open/Closed Sensor
    manufacturer: Visonic
    model: MCT-350 SMA
    deviceProfileName: contact-profile

This model has been in the driver for a long time and should pair correctly.

If it is paired with the zigbee thing driver do not try to change to the zigbee contact Mc driver, it will not work correctly because the device will not be configured correctly.

  • You have to remove the device from smartthings
  • Follow the procedure in the manual to put the device in pairing mode and place it near the Hub
  • In the App add a new device with the option search nearby.
  • The device should appear in the room where the Hub is

Thank you!

They were added today the way you described. They show β€˜Connected’ in the app but don’t function as a contact sensor.

I make sure that you have installed the Zigbee Contact Mc driver to your hub. If the driver is not installed on the hub, the driver cannot be changed.

It shows up on the installed drivers but I’m not able to change to it.

Then the fingerprint for your device doesn’t match an existing one in the driver. You need to install the Zigbee Thing driver from the same channel and post a screenshot of your device using that driver.

Thanks, I installed the updated Mariano edge driver, and now it works!

I have a Kwikset 888 z-wave lock that when paired with the Smarthings beta z-wave lock driver, shows β€œConnected” but doesn’t function at all. I’ve tried the Phil z-wave lock driver, but had the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest looking into the [EDGE] Universal Enhanced Z-Wave Lock Driver for Schlage, Yale, Kwikset, IDLock, Popp, Danalock, August Pro, Keywe, Philia, Samsung. It supports many different locks, but does require a subscription fee.

@ $11 a year, I’ll wait.

Hello @Mariano_Colmenarejo
Could you please add the following fingerprint to your Zigbee Contact Mc driver. Thank you in advance.
