The driver works initially, but then something goes wrong. Same behaviour I was having with the driver I created. I’ll try to explain as it’s a very strange issue and I couldn’t see anyone else having the same problems.
Initial setup:
Attach device to hub, driver is assigned automatically.
Switch works fine both manually on the switch and in app.
Turn off power at the light circuit and turn on after a while (to simulate power failure)
Switch becomes unresponsive, both in the app and on the wall switches.
Turning power off and on again and the switch works for 1 or 2 button presses on the wall then stops responding again.
Switch can be recovered although the process isn’t easy!!
Remove from SmartThings app.
Turn off power circuit.
Put SmartThings app in discover mode.
Turn on power.
After a couple of tries of step 3 and 4 switch is detected again and will function normally until power is turned off again.
Removing switch from SmartThings. Switch works from wall if power is turned on and off many times.
I’m only guessing, but it seems the switch is trying to complete an initial handshake or is being flooded with messages and firmware is crashing.
A plug without power measurement. Aside from wanting to change the icon to something that resembles the appliance it manages, wondering there’s an option to turn off the light.
@Mariano_Colmenarejo This driver stopped working for me at some point this afternoon. I use it on six sets of Sylvania/Osram LED strips. I’ve been using the driver on two of the sets since December and all has been well. ST converted my other 4 sets to the stock driver a few days ago so I then switched those to your driver and all was well until this afternoon.
When on the device in the ST app I get the ‘This device hasn’t updated all of it’s …’ message. And if i try to turn on or off I get absolutely nothing in the CLI logcat.
I did try swapping back to the ST stock driver on one set and that is working.
