I think that the value of getting this data is more for data correlation with other factors in your home.

I don’t expect real time motion events but if they make the current occupancy state of a room available that would be very very nice.

Hello @yvesracine, @Dianoga Were you able to to get an update from ecobee 3 remote sensors API if we can leverage them to use with our existing smartthings hub… Also, any confirmation if ST hub is compatible with ecobee 3 as till now ST product page has not updated eb3 as supported product…

Ecobee3 is very well supported by My Ecobee Device, which is a custom device that exposes almost all ecobee 3 functionalities using the APIs.

Thanks for the quick reply! I uninstalled/ reinstalled both the device type and smartapp and all is working again!! Following the steps again, I realized in my previous install I never enabled OAuth in Smartapp (not sure if that was the cause of the issues I experienced). Thanks again.

You can also expose the ecobee3’s remote sensors as individual ST temperature and motion sensors.

Ecobee 3 Remote Sensors into ST

Hi yvesracine, I have installed your latest device type and change mode and resume prog apps for my ecobee3 and they continue to fail with internal server error and unauthorized token refresh. Everything worked perfectly for 6 weeks but stopped working 1 or 2 weeks ago. What can I do to fix this? PS Have you considered putting a human friendly version number or change date in comments at top of all code so we can be sure we have published latest versions? PS2 I am relatively new to ST but your instructions are very good even for new ST users and your code and applications are high quality and incredibly useful. It’s developers like you that make ST the best hub the industry.
