Thank you for this essential bit of infornation on linking Ecoplugs to Google Home!! After being forced to migrate from the simplicity of the Ecoplugs app to a not so user-friendly Wemo app, I was thrilled when I discovered that Google Home recently added support for Ecoplugs. I spent several unsuccessful hours last night going down the same path that you had initially done, but was unable to access my Ecoplugs account because, like you, the login box seemed to indicate that my Ecoplugs account name or password was wrong. I even deleted my Ecoplugs account and reset my password several times without any success. As you pointed out, there are some additional steps required in order to link Ecoplugs to Google Home to allow for adding Ecoplug devices. The linking steps that you laid out may not be instinctive at first thought when compared to some other manufacturer’s devices. Somehow by chance, I discovered your posting today during a Google search and successfully added an Ecoplugs device, something that I’ve been wanting to do for long time. Thank you again for taking the time to post this account linking information because it definitely helped me, and it may well help others who find themselves struggling to add Ecoplug devices to Google Home.
