Does Z-Wave MIMOlite board work with SmartThings Hub?

Hi John,
Thank you for sharing the code. I was wondering if you have an updated version of the code. When I click the “Configure” button nothing opens up and it seems like the screen doesn’t refresh automatically.

Hi Matt,

I haven’t worked on the code in a very long time since I stopped using Mimolite devices. The latest version I have is what you’ve found.

The Configure tile, when tapped, won’t open up anything because all it does is send config commands to the device, and those vary depending upon what you want the device to do (switch, momentary, etc).

If your mobile app doesn’t update when a device state changes, like open/close, then it’s more than likely a platform issue. Double check that the device isn’t offline, and/or that it hasn’t been a few hours since there’s been a status update. Sometimes just power cycling the device is all it takes when ST thinks it’s offline.

So I just successfully setup the MiMoLite for use in a temporary commercial access control location. Using the contact closure on the control board to send signal to the MiMoLite, I was then able to use a z-wave lock and a smart things hub to allow badge access to a z-wave controlled deadbolt. We are looking at eventually going with a more permanent solution that will involve a new door and frame that can use a door strike, but for now it allows us to have existing users badge in to open that office. One thing I will throw out as a warning that i got stumped on, is the fact that the input does not directly trigger the output relay as I assumed it would. Also, I had to tie the contact to ground when open because even a floating voltage of 2 volts was enough to appear as always on to the MiMo… so the input on that is very sensitive FYI.
