Devices we don't have

Not a device per se, but being able to set modes and trigger on mode changes in IFTTT would open up a lot of possibilities.

Doorbell/push-button support would be awesome. I’d use it to turn lights on/off, put the alarm to sleep for a few minutes when I get up at night, change modes, etc.

I like the Korner door/window sensors! What are the chances ST will support them?

Add my vote for a doorbell and for simple buttons. I have an Aeon Minimote but it doesn’t aways work and it’s pretty expensive.

It would be nice to trigger SmartApps with buttons on the Minimote or simple buttons so I could create presets for Hue lights.

A cheap $20 button would be awesome.

Other stuff… Irrigation controllers, motorized window shades, Quirky air conditioner, the new Hue Tap controller. Aeotec is releasing a Z-wave door chime/siren… also their new automated glass tinting would be interesting too.

Love to see this Rocki Kickstarter added. Seems like an affordable alternative to Sonos.

I know this is rather pricey, but I would like to see kitchen appliances added. I only see GE Brillion with any discussion:

Put my vote in for Rogue Amoeba Airfoil integration. This would give users who don’t have Sonos but do have Airplay speakers a lot of Sonos-like functionality. Rogue Amoeba has an iOS app, Airfoil Remote, that can control the Airfoil install on a PC of Mac. So, they already have some sort of remote control capability. Adding it to ST would be awesome. Then, we just need to get text-to-speech functionality added and we could get the announcements like with Sonos!!!

Please consider it, since Sonos (although great) is VERY expensive and not practical for everyone.

I think they need to come down in price…

I’d love Foscam support, IR sender/receiver, Leviton Vizia 4-button controller support, GE/Jasco Three-way on/off switch support. And, not a device, but the ability to log the activity from all or some devices, maybe to a google docs spreadsheet or even simply as a download in .csv format.

I’m also still looking forward to PlantLink support. And I wouldn’t mind the ability to control my Hue light bulbs directly, rather than through the Hue bridge since there does seem to be a slightly longer delay when I use ST rather than the Hue app itself.

@beckwith I have the [LFM-20][1] controlling my radiant thermostat. Does yours have a remote trigger input?

I haven’t installed it yet. Since my posting I have more experience using ST controlling a HVAC thermostat and think I should be able to use the LMF-20 for my floor heat.

I totally agree on this one. The $20 Lowes doorbell is a killer feature. It has so many uses and possibilities. For $20, I would be them in bunches. (You hear that SmartThings?)
If you have lamps plugged into Plug Controllers, it’s not convenient for guests. These make ad-hoc light switches.
How about a Big Button for turning on or off every light on a floor or even the whole house. (The good night button on your nightstand.)
How about turn on or off your Sonos in a given room?
Yeah, there are so many ideas. PLEASE make this one.

This right here. +1000. Any updates?

Forgive me if this was already mentioned… I didn’t feel like reading 59 posts to find if it was or wasn’t. I’m lazy…

Anyway, how about a Zigbee repeater? I know that the motion sensors, when plugged in, operate as Zigbee repeaters, but I tend to think that it would be possible to make a cheaper device that was only a Zigbee repeater. You could remove the motion sensor and any parts related to that… remove the batteries too as it would have to be powered.
