Devices we don't have

+1 for A doorbell

IP Camera’s would be good as I know we have Dropcam now but I am not that keen on the price of Dropcams or the fact I need a monthly subscription. Would be good to get some Fosscam’s working well.

Smart TV integration

Roku Integration

Can someone point me to an accurate list of the Lowes stuff that actually works as its so much cheaper or is just the third party stuff like the Utillitech Sensor and Alarm (the stuff that says ‘Works with Iris’).

@Jon_Allsebrok I agree about the DropCam pricing and that they should do the Foscam cameras.

@genekend - which switches?

Looks like the update to wemo lab added the light switches. Can’t get it to work, but it does recognize my switches. Going to try to get with support tomorrow

I would like to see Nest Protect added to ST. Being able to use the motion detection would save me from getting another device let alone the logistics of installing another motion sensor.

Ditto on suggestions. Doorbells (with camera like doorbot), (more) IP cameras, motorized blind, IR sender/receiver, cheaper single purpose sensors (contact only, temperature/humidity only, acceleration only…), smoke/CO detector, bluetooth smartlocks like august or kwickset (without reliance on phone, somehow…)

Not necessarily a device, but some kind of an activity log with graphic visualization would be great. Maybe ability to log activities to google doc spreadsheet could be a start.

See my list at: My Dream list of "Things" in Priority Order

I also agree on the doorbell, ir sender and receiver and the in wall scene controller (like this: http://www.cooperindustries.com/content/public/en/wiring_devices/products/lighting_controls/aspire_rf_wireless/aspire_rf_5_button_scene_control_keypad_rfwdc_rfwc5.solutions.wiringdevices!whole_home_solutions!aspire_rf_wireless.html ). Actually would be good to have proper scene Managment and device association. Also thermostat schedule management (I know there are projects for that, but it should be part of the app)

Found this ir to udp device… Looks like there is already integration with control 4. http://www.keene.co.uk/electronic/keene-electronics/keene-ir-anywhere-(single-worldwide)/KIRAMW.html

It’s not a device, but the ability to send temps from multiple devices to a spreadsheet/graph comparing to outside temps would be cool… Really, lots and lots of graphs and charts would probably make many of the early adopters happy, as it becomes more mainstream, basic users of ST may not care.

Just found it today - it says it’s zigbee - it could be really neat if you didn’t need to use their fob

MyQ integration into ST would be nice too.

I see that there’s a plugin for Vera that shows garage door status and can open and close

I’m sure you guys can figure this out too.

I would like to see Sears Assurelink controlled by ST. It is probably the same as the MyQ. Both of these are better than the workaround everyone now uses for garage doors.

I would love to have doorbells, more camera support, and security system integration. I am looking at using D-Link cameras because I don’t want to pay a monthly fee to Dropcam to record video. I am currently using SimpliSafe for my alarm system and I have to put an extra sensor on my doors so that SmartThings can monitor them. (I have SmartThings monitor them for vibration and trigger local events before anyone has actually broken in and triggered the SimpliSafe system.)

I would also love to have support for a stationary video screen where I can quickly glance at temperatures around my home, any motion being detected, doors open/unlocked, HVAC status, etc.

I have to second the request for MyQ integration. There has been work on it using Vera, so even though they have not published and API, there is one out there to discover and use.

Also, I am very interested in integration with DSC security system (probably thru Envisalink) I know that there is an open API for Envisalink using LAN calls, but i just dont know enough about Groovy to be able to do this. I am just a poor Visual Basic and ASP programmer.

Oh yeah, and Honeywell Wifi thermostats for those of us that got one of them instead of the Nest.

And I think it’s mentioned before but Piper too as well as different Smart TV/AV Receiver.

@natedog3018, There is a thread on how to integrate the Envisalink and DSC alarm panel with ST.

I have the Envisalink but with Honeywell’s Ademco panel. I’m 90% done with my integration, but I’m stuck on the different Envisalink API for DSC vs Ademco panels. Seems like DSC is a lot easier than Ademco.

+1 for doorbells.

This thermostat: Centralite HA Thermostat
I picked one up and tried the CentraLite Thermostat code but I think it’s for the newer model. I’ve managed to hack at the code a bit and I’m parsing temp, setpoints and modes but can’t write anything to the device yet.

Also, an IR blaster so I could use it with a temperature sensor to make a virtual thermostat for my in window air conditioners. Like this GE/Quirky thing

Agree. Have you found anything that would work as a push button in ST?
