Controlling Fibaro RGBW with Smartthings without a Fibaro hub

Hi All

I’m thinking of how to start my investment into smart lighting. Is it possible to setup a system using:

Alexa/Google Home
Smartthings hub
Fibaro RGBW contoller
LED driver
RGB-W LED lighting strips

I would like to start installing Light Strips in our kitchen. Before I start reading 100’s of posts in this thread and/or the Smartlife controller thread, can somebody give me a quick comparison between those two systems? Is the Fibaro easier but more money? Also, regarding the light strips, I may want two separate setups: just white for under cabinet and multiple colors for above cabinets. Would I still get RGBW strips for both setups? I will second Robin’s recomendation on the best DTH
I use it with a number of the fibaro RGBW controllers - it works well as is very easy to write smartapps to use it.
