I have a PC that I can dedicate to a DNLA media render. Since VLC Thing is no longer being modified I was hoping to us a Window render to simply send messages to a wired or bluetooth speaker. I tried Foobar2000 but it looks like I need an additional iOS software running to control it.

Obviously I would like it to be free. Any ideas.

I looked at that. I am looking for windows software that will work without a container or control point like foobar2000.

You can use the software Tim linked above to play to Foobar2000 with the DLNA plugin. No iOS software required (aside from the ST app to do the configuration, if you’re on iOS).
