Can't reconnect Honeywell Lyric T5 thermostats through Honeywell Home

Linked Services showed up this morning. I selected the Honeywell service and choose “refresh”. Now Linked Services disappears again.

Very flakey.

David re: “if you go to “add device” under devices , you can add a partner device and choose Honeywell home.”

This is exactly the same problem I had before. I have my devices. If I choose “Honeywell Home” it tells me the service is already linked … but I don’t even see the Linked Services option.

There is some flaw in their database that is missing a flag or a handshake or something that puts the system between worlds. Without Linked Services option, you can’t delete it and rebuild … and you can’t re-add the service because it still sees the HW connection at some level.

I have been having issues with t5 and st for weeks. No communication between st and t5.

It is installed, linked to Honeywell home, but does not update and st commands ie temp up or down do nothing. No response from t5.

Residio works flawlessly!

The ui for the t5 control changed at some point, now it is non functional.

After repeatedly un-linking and re-linking Honeywell Home, my devices finally appeared back today. These are T9 Thermostats with accompanying smart sensors. you may want to try to unlink and link today and see id this was some larger issue that is now resolved.

My t5 now responds to commands from st.

However, the room temperature is only being updated once a day, at exactly 4:25. The room temperature will stay on that reading until it’s updated exactly 24 hours later.

Come on st, fix this! Even an hourly update would be more useful.

It’s working again after some work on my part.

What I find is that the ST app on iPhone is inconsistent in listing and deleting linked services. That the first time in a day that I launch ST app, it will take a moment and then find/list “linked services”. I have found that I must delete at this first moment. If I leave that screen and come back … it won’t find them … even though they are there.

It’s frustrating … but patience is rewarded.

If you are having a problem with HH and ST … delete the link by swiping left (don’t click and “unlink” … I found that is also no reliable).

Then …close ST and come back the next day and add back the HH service.

Weird … yea … but that seems to be a reliable approach. It appears the databases and systems need time to catch up to the changes step-by-step.
