Do the Amazon Fire tablets now include Google Play? If not, is there a way to install apps such as Smartthings and other apps? I’m also wondering about reliability/stability, e.g. Do Fire tablets drop wifi and need to be restarted or otherwise maintained more often than say a Samsung tablet? Tx
No. Here is a link to a YouTube video that walks you through how to side load google play.
I have not had any issues. I would assume it will depend on the stability of your wifi. I keep all of my tablets plugged in 24/7 since they are used as dashboards.

The Fully Kiosk Browser (FKB) website mentions a lot of problems/warnings regarding the use of FKB on Fire HD tablets. FKB seems to have a lot of different features that I’m not interested in. I am just looking for a solution that can “wake up” the Fire HD tablet upon motion. Does FKB do that function well? Are there better options?
On another note, would full Android tablets have the same “wake up” issues of the Fire HD tablet? Tx
I have not had any issues with FKB on Fire tablets per say but every once in a while I notice that FKB starts running slower and I have toinstall the newest version since this can,t be done automatically. By everyonce in a while my last update was needed 6 months ago.
Yes very well! I’m not sure about other options since I’m really happy with how this is working for me and I use FKB on both my Fire and Samsung tablets.
