Available drivers for Brennenstuhl HT CZ01 Radiator Thermostat Valve

Hi everybody,

I recently bought a Brennenstuhl HT CZ01 radiator thermostat valve since I read online that it is basically identical to the Aqara E1 Radiator Thermostat Valve and I already have a few of them working well for me. It was a good deal, so I didn’t bother checking for compatibility.

However, after adding the Brennenstuhl device to my Aeotec Hub 2, the device is only registered as “Zigbee thing”. Is there a way to force the device to use the same driver as the Aqara E1 RTVs? Or is there a better way make an apparently not officially supported device work regardless? I am quite new to the topic so I would appreciate any help. I am happy to add any necessary information that might be missing from the post.

Thank you!

Drivers are selected for the device based on the “fingerprint”, i.e. the Manufacturer and Model codes. Seems like your device is not included in the stock ST driver. There are some community developed drivers for various devices including thermostat valves. I checked in the most common one and your model is not listed, at least by manufacturer name.

You can try the Edge Device Builder to see if you can change the driver for your device. Alternatively, you can post the fingerprint info to this topic Post Requests for Zigbee Edge Drivers Here (community-created) to see if a community member can add it to their driver. You can find the fingerprint info on the Device→Information page.
